One of our favorite traditions in the early fall is to have a big family camp out.  I love camp food!  Especially bacon.  (That’s a camp food, right?)

As usual, I meal plan 2 weeks at a time.  I also try to keep it simple and double up on our favorite foods. We have a freezer full of a half of a hog and a quarter of a beef, which is just wonderful.

Here’s our 2 week meal plan for October.

2 Week Menu Plan, Meal Plan

  • sandwiches (PB&J, lunchmeat, nutella and graham crackers)
  • hard boiled eggs
  • salads
  • leftovers
  • peanut butter or cheese and crackers
  • yogurt or cheese
  • fresh fruits and veggies
  • pudding, cookies, chips, pretzels, or some sort of small treat

  • Sides will include potatoes, rice, homemade mac & cheese, fresh veggies and salads

Treats and Desserts

  • ice cream
  • apples with homemade salted caramel dip (be warned…that caramel is addicting!!)
  • cookies
  • fresh fruit
  • rice cakes
  • graham crackers

Be sure to share your meal plan in the comments so we can…”borrow” your ideas, too!
