Picture Wednesday #1

Welcome to the first not-so-wordy Picture Wednesday!  This is life on the mini farm this week.  (I’m gonna miss all of this green soon!)

Boone, our livestock guardian dog, is growing like a weed! Soon he’ll be big enough to protect our goats from coyotes.

The meatpen chicken coop, almost ready for action!  I’ve wanted to raise meat chickens for a long time, and can’t wait to start the project.

This tire swing has seen a lot of use this summer!

Our heritage raspberries are back.  They bear fruit once in the spring and again in the late summer.  This time of year is the better crop.

I definitely need to learn more about fruit trees.  This peach tree grew 2 or 3 peaches a couple of years ago, but they all fell off long before they ripened.  There is another peach tree nearby that hasn’t done any better.  I’m not sure what I need to do to care for them, but I’m obviously doing something wrong!

Walnuts are ready to drop!

Do you have some fruit tree advice for me?  Pretty please let me know in the comments!
