This recipe makes 2 loaves of quick bread.
Preheat your oven to 325.
In one bowl, mix together all dry ingredients.
In a mixing bowl, using a stand or hand mixer, cream 2 sticks of butter. Gradually add 2 cups of sugar. Cream well.
Blend 4 eggs, then beat them into the sugar mixture.
At low speed, add dry ingredients a bit at a time (about 1/2 cup or so), alternating with a bit of pumpkin at a time. Begin and end with your dry ingredients.
When the mixture is *just* combined, stir in your chocolate chips.
Pour into 2 greased standard sized loaf pans.
Bake for one hour or until top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
In my oven, this recipe takes closer to 1 hour and 10 minutes. But I have had commenters say their ovens cook closer to 1 hour.
