Creamy White Chicken Chili Recipe

A delicious stove top white chicken chili recipe that comes together in a snap.

Ingredients

  • 2 c shredded cooked chicken pull from an already cooked rotisserie chicken, or cook up a couple of chicken breasts and shred the meat
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cans great northern beans
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 1/4 c chopped green chilis canned works great
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • dash ground cayenne pepper

Instructions

Stove Top Instructions

  1. In a dutch oven or large pot, dump all ingredients.

  2. Heat on medium high heat until simmering.

  3. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for a half an hour. You can simmer this for longer if you have time and want it the flavors to meld more.

  4. Serve with your favorite toppings. (We like monterey jack cheese, avocados, sour cream, and corn chips on ours!)

Slow Cooker Instructions

  1. Dump all ingredients in your slow cooker and give them a good stir.

  2. Heat on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
