Is it already the end of January?  This year is flying by!  It’s almost time for a goals update, and I want to make sure I’m taking my beloved baby steps towards the goals I’ve set for 2016 since we’re nearly 1/12th finished with it.

Not that I’m trying to rush the year away.  I just don’t want to waste my minutes and wish I’d used them differently.

As always, my lovely readers of accountability, I want to first visit last week’s goals to see how it went.

Money/Frugal Goals  Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.

  • Make 2 breakfast meals from scratch
  • Earn 250 Swagbucks – Didn’t make it.  It seems like the ways I like to make my “bucks” have been less available lately.  Am I the only one seeing fewer Encrave choices?
  • List 3 things for sale (What a relief to finally start this process!)

Family Goals

  • One on one time with kids – Thinking of baking cookies, reading books, foosball, board games, etc
  • Celebrate hubby’s birthday!

Blog Goals  – I wound up spending my week changing some layout and designs of the blog rather than what I had planned.  What do you think of the new look?  Do you find it loads ok on your device or computer?

Personal Goals

  • Daily Bible readings/podcasts
  • As it turns out, there is a library waiting list for The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, so I am unable to renew it.  And now is not a great time for that book for me anyway.  So I’m moving on to How to Blog for Profit Without Selling Your Soul.  Excited about learning more about blogging, and really excited to finally use the Kindle I got for Christmas!
  • Use my planner to bring a better work/home/life balance.  I need to schedule time for blogging, housework, intentional time with the family (on top of going with the flow with them!), and down time for myself.

This looks like a fairly busy week with appointments and school events, so I’m going to try to set realistic goals for that.

Home/Barn

  • Choose paint colors for the bathroom and stair walls
  • Declutter kids clothes

Money/Frugal Goals  Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.

Family Goals

  • One on one time (games, baking, etc.)

Those are the baby steps I need to take to get my goals going.

How are you doing with your goals or resolutions?
