Happy Monday to you!  Do you have the day off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr?  The kids are off of school and the hubby is home for the day here.

You’re probably tired of hearing about the baby goats by now, but it was a really exciting week for us here last week!  In case you aren’t tired of it, be sure to “like” my Facebook page since I’ll likely do most of my goat baby pictures and videos over there.  (But don’t be too surprised if the cuties make an occasional appearance here on the blog. 🙂 )

On Mondays I like to lay out my plans for the week.  I look over my calendar to see what events and occasions we have happening in daily life.  I also check out our big yearly goals to see what baby steps I can make this week to ease our way in the right direction.

First, let’s check in on last week’s goals and see how we did.  I’m not surprised that I didn’t get too many of these things accomplished considering how much time the goats took.

Home/Barn

  • Set up pen for baby goats
  • Declutter part of master bedroom

Money/Frugal Goals  Although we often assume that feelings inspire actions, in fact, actions also inspire feelings. By pushing myself to act happier, I make myself feel happier.

Family Goals

Blog Goals

  • Promote my new collaboration!  (Really excited to be working with abudgetfriendlylife.com!  Read more here.)
  • Learn about setting up an email subscription  (Right now I have a weekly RSS feed you can have delivered to your inbox.  But I’d like to create a weekly newsletter with extra info and fun stuff.)
  • Grow Twitter account to 900  When I set this goal, I felt like it was a little high.  I’m amazed to be sitting at 972 followers right now!
  • Consider creating a vision board for the blog

Personal Goals

New goals for the new week:

Home/Barn

Money/Frugal Goals  Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.

Family Goals

  • One on one time with kids – Thinking of baking cookies, reading books, foosball, board games, etc
  • Celebrate hubby’s birthday!

Blog Goals

Personal Goals

  • Daily Bible readings/podcasts
  • As it turns out, there is a library waiting list for The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, so I am unable to renew it.  And now is not a great time for that book for me anyway.  So I’m moving on to How to Blog for Profit Without Selling Your Soul.  Excited about learning more about blogging, and really excited to finally use the Kindle I got for Christmas!
  • Use my planner to bring a better work/home/life balance.  I need to schedule time for blogging, housework, intentional time with the family (on top of going with the flow with them!), and down time for myself.

That should keep me pretty busy this week!  How is your week shaping up?  Do you have big or small goals you’d like to work towards?  Let’s encourage one another!
