These baby proofing ideas are just what you need to make your house toddler safe.
Life is funny. You spend the first several months of a baby’s life begging them to learn how to walk.
Then they get past those first steps…and you start to wonder what we were thinking?!
You don’t even really understand how much baby proofing a house needs until you suddenly see it from the perspective of your toddler.
Those baby safety kids with their outlet covers and cabinet door locks make you feel like you’re ready…but it doesn’t take long to realize that’s just the beginning!
I wasn’t sure how long I would be able to keep up with this series when I first began writing it. Each week I find it a challenge to come up with another 5 ways we’ve saved without being too repetitive. But the challenge is good for me, especially in our #yearofno.
Welcome to meal planning Monday! The best part about doing meal plans on a 2 week basis is that I only have to fuss with this job twice a month or so. In the past I have even done my meal planning and shopping on a monthly basis, but it just isn’t practical in this season of life. So every 2 weeks it is!

Happy Friday! It’s time to recap the week and talk about our frugal wins.
I’ll admit, we had a bit of an expensive week. Three of our kids went to camp (which added up to a pretty tidy sum of money). But we had decided that these camp experiences were important and worth the investment. So it wasn’t money wasted, but carefully spent.
You need these summer potluck recipes in your life! Keep them on hand and everyone will be begging for the recipe at your next gathering.
Aren’t potlucks great?? It’s such a simple way to entertain guests without spending a fortune. I know I never mind bringing along a dish when my family is invited to a party.
And each time I throw a party, most of my guests will ask what they can bring. I’m not sure if that’s good old midwestern politeness or if it’s just that I have great friends and family.
Either way… it’s a good idea to keep a list of summer potluck recipes on hand. Then you’ll always be ready for that last minute gathering!
I'm Jamie, and I want to help you afford a beautiful life with your family. Learn more.
