Yeah, I know. Here we are halfway through August and I’m just now getting my July progress put up. Summertime is nuts! I’m sure you’ve been as busy as I have been.
I’m almost looking forward to the routine of the school year. Almost.
But lets get down to it!
Life has been a whirlwind of county fair followed by nearly a week of camping. I enjoy both, but boy is it stressful to keep everyone in line! It’s nice to be home again and thinking back over the ways we saved money lately.

You know, sometimes you look at the Christmas budget you’ve managed to stash away…
…then you look at the list of people you have to buy for, and you can’t help but wonder…

Well, all it takes is a little creativity!
Now, if (like me) you are NOT exactly a creative type of person, that might make you sweat a little.
But don’t worry!
I’ve found a list of good things you can DIY for people. Things they’ll actually love to have. And that are really hard to mess up.
Because I don’t know about you, but I don’t plan to knit any sweaters this year. 😉

Ok, so it’s not just the frugal part that makes it not gross. The fact is that a lot of people out there are getting rid of perfectly good (or even still new with tags) items for whatever reason. Maybe they are decluttering or cleaning up the home of a loved one or got a gift they hated but couldn’t return. Who knows?

Chances are that you’ve heard a giveaway of some sort advertised lately. Radio stations are always giving something away. So are companies. And bloggers.
But how often do you act on those giveaways? Do you ever make an attempt to enter, or do you automatically assume you won’t win and you don’t even try?
Today in the 7 Ways to Pile Up Christmas Money, let’s talk about earning money by taking odd jobs. We are talking about jobs that are typically a one-time only deal or fairly infrequent.
Getting a part time job to cover presents is also a great idea, but not always a reality for many of us with a tight schedule or young children to care for. (Or both.)
