5 Ways We’ve Saved Money This Week 103

Crafting and decor are not really my thing, but I do love a beautiful Christmas display. So I’ve been using Pinterest as my inspiration and fashioning some new ideas using things we have around the house to create a different display this year.  I’ve been sharing my ideas on Instagram, so follow along if you like saving money on decor.

We’re also trying not to get carried away by spending on gifts.  This time of year, the “might as well buy one more” attitude sneaks up on the best of us!  That’s why I try to keep a written plan so we buy only the things we know will be loved.

You may have noticed that there was no debt check in back in November, and I’m sorry about that!  But this series is not something I want to stop doing, because it keeps us accountable to our debt payoff plan.  And I hope it helps you fight your own debt, too.

We started paying off this debt at the beginning of 2016, so we’ve been at it for nearly 2 years now.  We’ve made some serious progress, which helps us get through the rough months.

With a little nervous excitement, I checked my purse one more time.

It was early on Black Friday morning.  The only day of the year I happily get up before the sun.

Part of it is my love for a good bargain.

I can’t help but love that I get to spend the day with my Mom.  (Girl time!)
