Insiders Tricks To Becoming A Paid Secret Shopper

Insiders Tricks To Becoming A Paid Secret Shopper

On my first secret shop, I was so nervous.  I was convinced that when I walked in the door, a giant blinking arrow would flash above my head.  “Alert!  Alert!  Secret shopper approaching!”

Well, that didn’t happen.  (Thankfully!)

I managed to get through the secret shop without any major blunders, and I even got my money.  The company also reimbursed me for the purchase I made, so I got a tube of caulk for free, too.

(If I were a DIYer that might have been a bit more exciting.)

Secure Your Savings: How to Become a Substitute Teacher

Secure Your Savings: How to Become a Substitute Teacher

Getting a college scholarship was amazing.  They covered four years of my schooling, and I can’t put into words how grateful I was for that.

However, I wanted a degree in music education.  That’s a five year degree.  But I was determined I could fit it into 4 years instead.  I didn’t want to pay more out of pocket than I had to.

And I nearly made it!  I fit that five year degree into 4 1/2 years.  But here’s the trouble with graduating in December with a music education degree…no one is hiring teachers in December.

As it turns out, there was a great solution.  Not only did it pay, but it also helped me learn more about teaching kids before I got my first job.

I decided to become a substitute teacher.

Get Paid To Be a Food Demonstrator On the Weekends

Get Paid To Be a Food Demonstrator On the Weekends

Looking for weekend work? Getting a job as a food demonstrator might be the perfect part time job to compliment your 9-5 schedule.

Free samples at the grocery store are our favorites.  (Aren’t they everybody’s??)  We sometimes drop by the store to kill time, and the kids look forward to seeing what samples will be available.

How often do you consider the person passing out the free samples?  I used to think they were store employees.  Then one day, a friend told me they were actually people brought in to specifically promote a product.

Being a food demonstrator is a flexible job that’s good for college kids, stay at home moms, and, yes, people trying to fill their contingency savings fund.

How to Find Focus Groups And Get Paid For Your Big Opinion

How to Find Focus Groups And Get Paid For Your Big Opinion

A few years ago, I was just starting my search for a new car seat when I got a phone call.  After talking to the lady for a few minutes, I was was happy to learn that I’d be earning enough money to cover part of the cost of one.  Ironically, I had qualified for a focus group about car seats.

That was a pretty wild coincidence.  But no matter the topic, finding a focus group can be a fun way to make some extra cash.
