Is This Challenge for Me?
That depends. Does any of this sound familiar?
An endless cycle of paycheck to paycheck living.
A mountain of debt you’re finally ready to tackle.
Bills pop up in the mail when you least expect them.
Money seems disorganized and scattered.
What's the Challenge?
I’m giving you 30 days of ways to save or earn extra money. Money you can use for:
Starting or boosting your emergency fund
Filling a sinking fund. (Why do I want a sinking fund?)
Catching up on bills to start the new year right.
Why I’m Passionate About This Money Challenge
In early 2016, my hubby and I decided it was time to get serious about getting out of debt. We attacked it in a brand new way and it made all the difference in our finances. Along the way, we learned some important things about our spending habits.
One lesson was that bad things happen when you least expect them, and when you most need them not to. You should always be ready for unexpected expenses. Because, while you can’t guess when they’ll happen or what they’ll look like, you can bet you’ll be hit with them at some point.
Grandma told you to save for a rainy day. I’m telling you to pull together a sinking fund. Learn why I think sinking funds are so important here.
But I don’t just want to tell you how important they are and leave you to fend for yourself. So let’s kick off 2017 on the right foot. Get 30 days of advice for saving and earning enough money to fund that account. The challenge starts January 1, 2017. I can’t wait to get started!
