Happy frugal Friday!
As usual, we’re celebrating the end of the week by reflecting back on the ways we’ve saved money this week. To catch up on the rest of the series, you can jump over here.
Some of you took a survey for me several weeks ago. My readers overwhelmingly told me that they’d like to learn more about ways to earn some extra income. If you agree with that statement, you’ll want to check out the first post in a new series of ways to bring in more money. You’ll find that post here.

Life has been very busy in our home lately. We have 4 children playing on different baseball/softball teams. That means games or practices every night of the week.
This requires a whole lot of planning ahead to keep things frugal! Isn’t planning such a key in saving money?

Inside: Being a Mom is no picnic! But the moment you have a child, you become a sister in the motherhood sorority. This is my open letter to moms.
There’s something special about being a mom. It’s like an all inclusive sorority. If you put two moms in a room together, it won’t be long until they are talking about the joys and struggles of being a mother.
Today I want to salute you, my fellow Mommys. We’re in this together!
An Open Letter to Moms

Dear Mom Who Is Still Pregnant,
You are just learning what being a Mom is all about. You’re reading everything you can get your hands on. Learning how to diaper your baby without going broke. Should you bottle feed or breast feed? What type of pediatrician should you be looking for, and how can your body possibly get any bigger than it feels right now?
This is the hard part.

Welcome to another frugal Friday! I always like to celebrate this lovely day by contemplating 5 ways we’ve saved money this week. If you’d like to read back through the series, you can find it here.
Of course, we save money in many more than 5 ways each week! But since I’m trying to track unique ideas that I haven’t necessarily talked about on previous Fridays, it makes this a bit of a challenge.

With no access to public water, a cistern, or a well, our family has an unusual perspective on how to save money on your water bill.
Several years ago, and after much searching, we found a house that seemed perfect for our family. It was in a quiet area and had a barn (a must for me!). We loved it!
Before placing an offer on the home, we had an inspection done. We learned that the home wasn’t on a public water supply, but it had a cistern and a well. This didn’t concern us too much.
In fact, I thought we’d save money on our water bill because we could get it naturally and wouldn’t have to pay for it.

Meal planning is one of those things that we know can save us a ton of money. But it’s still a dreaded chore for many of us!
Planning for 2 weeks at a time makes this chore something we can do less frequently. If you like, you can look through my whole list of menu plans for ideas.

Our #yearofno is still in full swing. We’re adjusting to it pretty well, and we’re seeing some improvements in our finances because of that.
