Life has been very busy in our home lately.  We have 4 children playing on different baseball/softball teams.  That means games or practices every night of the week.

This requires a whole lot of planning ahead to keep things frugal!  Isn’t planning such a key in saving money?

You are just learning what being a Mom is all about.  You’re reading everything you can get your hands on.  Learning how to diaper your baby without going broke.  Should you bottle feed or breast feed?  What type of pediatrician should you be looking for, and how can your body possibly get any bigger than it feels right now?

This is the hard part.

How to Save Money On Your Water Bill: A Weird Water Situation

With no access to public water, a cistern, or a well, our family has an unusual perspective on how to save money on your water bill.

Several years ago, and after much searching, we found a house that seemed perfect for our family.  It was in a quiet area and had a barn (a must for me!).  We loved it!

Before placing an offer on the home, we had an inspection done.  We learned that the home wasn’t on a public water supply, but it had a cistern and a well.  This didn’t concern us too much.

In fact, I thought we’d save money on our water bill because we could get it naturally and wouldn’t have to pay for it.

My S.M.A.R.T. Yearly Goals – April Check In

It’s already time for another check in on our yearly S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, timed) goals!  Can you believe how quickly time is flying?  We’re already a quarter of the way through 2016.  The days are so long, but the years are so short.

Our #yearofno is still in full swing.  We’re adjusting to it pretty well, and we’re seeing some improvements in our finances because of that.
