It was a cold, gray day about 10 years ago.
The wind was blowing as I walked out of the grocery store with a full cart, trying to juggle my just turned 2 year old and my 8 month old baby amidst all of the plastic bags filled with food.
I was squeezing the trip in after a long day at work while my hubby traveled from the college where he was taking classes to his full time job.
You glance over at the calendar and suddenly realize (with dread) that it’s already February and you don’t have any fun Valentine’s Day ideas ready to go. One kid needs Valentine’s cards for school, another needs cupcakes for their party, and you have no clue how to make your spouse feel special.
The list of easy winter activities for kids you’ve been looking for. Cheap, simple, fun for a tired Mom!
It’s 4:00 in the afternoon and your kids have been home from school all day.
The toys are cast aside. Everyone’s tired of Disney+.
Instead, they’re playing their favorite game called “bounce my sibling off of the wall”.
You are desperately Googling for fun activities, because if you Google the words running through your mind you are afraid you’ll wind up on a list somewhere.
While I’d love to offer you another cup of coffee and some chocolate pie, the internet has its limitations.
But what I can give you is a treasure trove of ideas to do when you are stuck inside.

Every year, my brother hosts a football party for “The Big Game”. To make the party more interesting, he likes to hold competitions. Every guest is encouraged to bring an entry and try to win. It’s a lot of fun… not only to find a great recipe to show off, but also to get to eat a variety of other “best recipes”.
