After replacing 5 appliances in 6 months time (and buying another one because we needed it, so really 6 appliances) I should be an appliance buying expert.
In reality, I’m giving all the other appliances the side eye and begging them not to join the others in the old junkyard.
sigh
I saw a meme today that said (I’m gonna clean it up a little) “Being in quarantine is crazy. One day you’re cleaning baseboards with Q-Tips and the next day you’re in a bathrobe watching squirrels out the window. There’s no in between.”
And I thought “Oh! It’s not just me!”

Like you (probably), our family has mostly stayed home for almost two weeks now.
That’s made it pretty easy to save money.
If you can stay away from online shopping, you might be finding the same thing. Maybe you’ll even have time to develop new habits that will stick when life gets back to “normal”.
(Whenever that happens…and whatever that means!)
The plague hit our house for a good couple of weeks.
Ok, not the plague. Something that mocks the flu but doesn’t last quite as long. Ugh.
(Not Coronovirus, don’t worry.)
Normally that would be a great way to save money on groceries at least. (I mean, not an ideal way. But a way none the less.)
But…
for some reason these kids are starving.
They have real fevers, lots of aches and pains…but they’re asking for crackers. And soup. And toast…constantly.
Well, I guess I’m glad they’ve kept their appetites up.
OH, and we also learned that if you order Sprite, Gatorade, chicken noodle soup, tissues, ibuprofen, etc. from Clicklist, they’ll still bring it to you. And they don’t even wear hazmat suits!

This whole thing started waaaay back in 2015 (which seems like a million years ago, but also seems like yesterday…weird) when I decided to write up a little post about the ways we managed to save money that week.
It ended up being a hit.
I guess it’s because people who love saving money are always curious about the ways other families manage it.
And if you aren’t really big on saving money, it’s nice to see that there are a few easy ways to save a little bit, especially when saving seems like this huge, impossible task.
